Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 September 2026
These Terms of Service (“terms”) set out the general terms that apply when you use psychological services provided by Weekday Wellbeing ("the practice"). These terms apply to all appointments booked or attended with us. Booking or attending an appointment indicates your agreement to these terms. These terms should be read together with the practice's Privacy Statement and all relevant onboarding documents, including intake and informed consent forms.
1. Psychological Services
Psychological services are provided by a registered psychologist in accordance with applicable professional, legal and ethical requirements. Services may include psychological consultation and counselling, assessment, intervention and/or other psychological services agreed with you. The nature and purpose of psychological services, including relevant benefits, risks and limitations, will be discussed with you as appropriate. Informed consent is obtained separately and remains an ongoing process throughout the provision of services. The practice does not provide emergency or crisis response services. If you require immediate assistance or are at risk of serious harm, contact emergency services (000) or an appropriate crisis service.
2. Appointments
Appointments are provided at the specified time and for the duration agreed when the appointment is booked. The practice may offer standard and extended appointments with different durations. The applicable fee will depend on the type and duration of the service provided. If you arrive late, the appointment will generally finish at the scheduled time. Where appropriate, the psychologist may discuss whether the appointment can be extended or rescheduled. Appointments are offered standardly as telehealth but they may be provided face-to-face where agreed and considered appropriate by the psychologist.
3. Fees and Payment
Fees are provided to you before or at the time of booking and may vary depending on the service provided (see the current Pricing Schedule). Payment is generally required at the time of the appointment unless another arrangement has been agreed in advance. Additional fees may apply for services provided outside an appointment, including reports, letters, meetings, conferences or other work requested by you or a third party. Where additional work is expected to incur a fee, you will generally be informed of the cost before the work is undertaken. You are responsible for payment of fees unless the practice has confirmed that payment will be made by another person or organisation.
4. Cancellation and Non-Attendance
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice. A cancellation or non-attendance fee of $125 may apply where insufficient notice is provided or an appointment is missed. The practice may waive or reduce a cancellation fee in circumstances where this is considered reasonable.
5. Communication
The practice may contact you by telephone, email or SMS using the contact details you provide. These communication methods may be used for appointment arrangements, administrative matters and other matters relating to your services. Electronic communication carries some privacy and security risks. You should avoid sending highly sensitive clinical information by ordinary email or SMS. The practice does not provide continuous or urgent support through email, SMS or other messaging services. Messages will generally be responded to during normal business hours.
6. Telehealth
Where services are provided by telehealth, you are responsible for participating from a reasonably private and suitable location and using an appropriate device and internet connection. Telehealth involves potential privacy, security and technical risks. Technical difficulties may affect the quality or continuity of a session. Your psychologist may recommend face-to-face services or another form of care where relevant or telehealth is not considered suitable.
7. Reports and Additional Services
Reports, letters, assessments, meetings and other services outside ordinary appointments may be subject to additional fees. Requests from third parties, including employers, insurers, lawyers or other organisations, may require your consent before information can be released. The psychologist will discuss the purpose and nature of a requested report or other service where appropriate. The practice does not guarantee that a requested report, opinion or recommendation will support a particular outcome.
8. Third-Party and Workplace Services
Where psychological services are arranged or funded by an employer, organisation, insurer or other third party, the arrangements applying to the service will be explained to you. The practice will maintain appropriate confidentiality and will only provide information to a third party where you have consented to the disclosure or where disclosure is otherwise authorised or required by law. The information that may be provided to a third party will depend on the nature of the service and the arrangements agreed before services commence.
9. Privacy and Confidentiality
The practice handles personal and health information in accordance with its Privacy Statement and applicable privacy and health records legislation. The Privacy Statement explains how your information is collected, used, stored and disclosed and how you can access or correct your information or raise a privacy concern. Confidentiality also has certain legal and professional limits, such as where disclosure is:
required or authorised by law or a court or tribunal;
necessary to lessen or prevent a serious threat to a person's life, health or safety and the relevant legal requirements are met
required under mandatory reporting obligations
permitted or required under another legal or professional obligation
10. Your Responsibilities
You are expected to:
provide information that is reasonably necessary for the psychologist to provide appropriate services
provide accurate contact and billing information
attend appointments at the agreed time
communicate cancellations or changes as soon as reasonably possible
treat the psychologist and other people involved in the practice with reasonable respect
raise any concerns about the service so they can be addressed
You are not required to agree with your psychologist's recommendations and may discuss alternative approaches or choose not to proceed with a service.
11. Ending Services
You may choose to discontinue psychological services at any time. The psychologist may recommend that services end or that you be referred to another practitioner or service where this is considered appropriate, including where the service is no longer suitable, the psychologist's expertise is not appropriate to your needs or another form of care would be more appropriate. Where practicable, the psychologist will discuss the reasons for ending or changing services with you and assist with appropriate transition or referral arrangements. Outstanding fees for services already provided remain payable.
12. Complaints and Concerns
You are encouraged to raise any concerns about the services you receive with your psychologist or the practice. You will not be disadvantaged for raising a genuine concern or complaint. Complaints can be made via our Client Feedback form.
13. Changes to These Terms
The practice may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes to services, technology, legal requirements or professional standards. The current version will be available on the practice website. Changes will not affect services that have already been provided.
14. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service apply to services provided by the practice from the date you book or commence a service. Your informed consent to psychological services is obtained separately and is not replaced by acceptance of these Terms of Service. If you have any questions about these Terms of Service, please contact the practice before booking or commencing services.
